Hi All, today we have tutorial on how to associate a file type to a specific program by default. For example if you want to open .mp3 files with VLC media player henceforth then you can Associate a file type to a Specific Program in Windows with the following steps.

How To Steps:
1. Open Control Panel and Search for Default Programs

2. Now go to Default Programs and Select “Associate a file type or protocol with a program”

3. Now from the list of file types select the file type you want set your specific program to open.
4. Select the file type and press Change Program.

5. Now select the program you want to associate from the list of programs

6. Save and Close.

Henceforth now the file type will open with the associated program.
