Twitter Update – Photo Tagging and Multiple Photos in a Tweet

Twitter rolled out two updates on its mobile application which makes you to get more with photos on twitter. Photo Tagging and Multiple photos in a single tweet was the update rolled out for twitter android/iOS applications. So with photo tagging, instead of mentioning the friends twitter names in the photo tweet, you can directly tag the friends. You all may used facebook photo tagging and it’s just like that.

Photo Tagging :
You can tag up to 10 people in a photo. Tagging friends doesn’t affect any characters from 140 count. If someone tagged you, you will be notified. You can also limit the settings on you can tag you like “anyone”,”only people i follow” or you can turn “off” this feature. This update is rolled out to both Android and iOS.

How To Tag friends in a Tweet:
1. Open the new tweet.
2. Attach photo to the tweet and after adding the photo, you will be having the option like “Who’s in this photo” as shown in the below screenshot.

3. Tap on that and now select the people you want to tag in the photo, you can select up to 10 people and click “Done”

4. Now the names will be appear near the photo and now you can post the tweet.

5. The users you tagged will be getting notified.

Multiple Photos in a Single Tweet:

The second major update is you can upload Multiple Photos in a Single Tweet. You can upload upto 4 photos in a single tweet. As of now this feature was rolled out to twitter iOS and it will be coming soon to Android. Whether you’re on iPhone, Android or twitter.com, you can view Tweets with multiple photos.
