As usual, it has a lot of the preloaded apps, but you can able to uninstall some of the third party apps which help to save some space used by the unused apps. Performance and Test Results of Asus Zenfone 3 Laser:

I have been using the device for more than a week now and I have tested the device with Jio and Vodafone networks where the JIO has the data connection on throughout the day. The call quality is decent enough and I don’t find any issues with it. The have used the phone for long hours continuously and didn’t find any heating issues. While playing videos, the display quality was nice. The phone is easy to hold and it is not slippery as the Zenfone 3 Max variant.

On an average usage the battery lasts for a day and if you are a heavy user, then it depends on the usage. On a continuous video play, the battery lasts for nearly 12 to 13 hrs. The phone doesn’t support fast charging which is disappointing. Zen UI has the various battery saving options which allow you to optimize the use of battery according to your need. My opinion is Asus should build at least a 4000 mAh battery in the device when considering the price of the device.

The navigation buttons are not backlit. Also, the phone has too much bloatware apps in which only a few of them can be uninstalled and the rest can only be disabled.

We tried recording the full HD 1080p videos to test the EIS feature on the phone. You know what, the output is really good and the electronic image stabilization (EIS) feature makes the video clean even when our hands weren’t steady at some positions. While coming to the pictures, the shutter speed is fast and the pictures taken in the low light are good. You can Checkout the sample pictures clicked with various modes of the phone above. The overall camera quality is good for the day to day photos.

The earphones bundled with the phone is decent and it comes with extra earbuds, so you can choose the one which fits in your ear.

Pros:

  • Camera
  • Full HD Display
  • VoLTE Support

Cons:

  • Battery
  • Pricing
  • More Bloatware

Final Verdict:

The performance of the phone is really good and I didn’t find any lag, heating issues and the camera is decent. The phone is priced at Rs.16999 which is higher for the device when compared to the other competitors. There are many other budget phones like Redmi 3S Prime and few other smartphones which feature the same processor for the price of below Rs.10000. On considering the other factors of the phone, the phone is worth if priced around Rs.12K to Rs.13K.

The phone is available via Flipkart in India, you can buy it here and it is priced at Rs.16999.
