These two smartphones are dual SIM and on both SIM slots supports 4G VoLTE functionality on both smartphones.

Processor:

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 features Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 1.8 GHz max Mobile Platform with 14nm, 64-bit Kryo Octa-core Processor with Adreno 509 GPU, Where the Redmi Note 5 features Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 2.0GHz max Octa-core Processor with Adreno 506 GPU.

Bluetooth:

Asus has Bluetooth 5.0 Since the Snapdragon 636 supports it and the Note 5 has Bluetooth 4.2 only.

Storage:

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 has 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants. Sooner 64 GB variant is also expected.

The Redmi Note 5 has 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants.

We can expand the storage on both the smartphones via microSD card. But, Asus supports up to 2 TB expandable memory via microSD which is huge and Asus has the dedicated slot for microSD whereas the Xiaomi has 3-choose-2 hybrid SIM tray, in which you can use two SIMs at a time or one SIM card and a microSD card.

Operating System:

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 runs on Pure Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box whereas the Redmi Note 5 runs on MIUI operating system based on Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box. If you don’t like the default MIUI operating system, then the Pure Android experience will definitely impress you. Also, we don’t have much bloatware on the Asus as Xiaomi.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is Priced at Rs.10,999 for the base 3GB/32GB variant and the 4GB/64GB variant is priced at Rs.12,999. Asus also confirmed that they will launch a 6GB/64GB variant with a 16MP + 5MP rear camera and a 16MP front camera for Rs.14,999. But, no confirmation about the launch date yet.

Redmi Note 5 is priced at Rs.9,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and the 4GB/64GB variant is priced at Rs.11,999.

Availability:

Both the phones are available exclusively on Flipkart and both companies are selling their smartphone in a flash sale. As you aware flash sales are being a nightmare these days, as many of us are not able to buy the smartphones. If Asus has huge stocks of their product, then it will be a tough competition to Xiaomi.
