Google announced that soon android apps will be able to run on Chromebooks during the IO 2016 event held last month. Google also hinted that android apps will be made available to Chromebook using an emulator. After one month, Google released a video demonstrating how android apps and play store runs on Chromebook.
The video contains the demo of android apps running on Chromebooks based on both ARM and Intel processor. The demonstration includes how to download the apps from play store, installation, security features, etc., Soon the android apps compatibility update will be sent to Chromebooks. The play store icon on the demo was spotted in the taskbar.
