Google has officially launched the Android Pay service, which is one of the most important announcement made in Google IO 2015 held this year. You can now pay at one million plus stores in US using Android Pay. It will replace the old Google Wallet app and it works with all NFC-enabled phones running on android 4.4+ operating system. Android Pay supports all credit, debit cards from American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Android Pay Page was now available in android website.
When comes to the security feature, Android Pay won’t send the original credit/debit card numbers during the payment, instead it creates a virtual account number and send the payment, which add an extra security layer. Google reported that more features like transferring your loyalty cards, special offers and more banks will be added to Android Pay service Soon.
Using Android Pay is Simple,
Install Android Pay App > Add your Credit/debit card > Now Pay with Android Pay > Done
which Google call it as
Tap > Pay > Done.
Existing Google Wallet users get an update in their device, which will replace the wallet to Android Pay. New users can download the Android Pay directly from the Play Store in next few days.
