Few days back, Google has announced its new tool for developers and designers called Resizer.
After the launch of Material Design, Google is hardly working to implement them on various platforms. In addition to the process, they have launched the Resizer tool, which can help the designers and developers to test the Material Design UI across various platforms like PC, Tablet, Mobile, etc.,
According To Google:
What is Resizer?
As designers and developers of digital products, one of our greatest challenges is figuring out how to serve the right UI to our users at the right time. No matter how they’re using an application, be it a phone or through VR, manipulating it with gesture or a mouse, on the latest and greatest tech or a hand-me-down 2G, it is our responsibility to make our products accessible to everyone—and that’s a pretty tall order. There’s no simple design solution to fit every need.

Though it was meant for Material design, you can test any URL with the tool. Check out how TechToLead.com home page was displaying in multiple platforms on the below screenshot. [TechToLead homepage was not created with material design principles]
How To Use Resizer Tool:
- Open Resizer webpage.
- Enter the URL you want to test on the search bar present at the top of the page. [By default it loads the design.google.com page]
Now the page will load in multiple platforms, you can browse the page in different platforms in the same page or you can also toggle between the platforms using the icons present at the top right corner.
Whenever you’re planning to design a web page, use this handy tool to check how responsive your design is.
