Google Spaces – A Tool for Small Group Sharing

Google launched its new group sharing app called Google SPACES. The internet giant is reportedly working on various projects to compete with the other competitors in social media. Recently we have posted an article about Google Posts, which directly publish your thoughts on Google Search, but still which is not open to the public. Now Google made its own app for group sharing which allows to all group conversations easily. They call it as “a tool for small group sharing”.

We wanted to build a better group sharing experience, so we made a new app called Spaces that lets people get people together instantly to share around any topic. – Luke Wroblewski, Product Director, Google.

This app has built-in Youtube, Chrome, Google Search, so can share any content without leaving the app. You can also search for the content that was shared earlier. You can share links, articles, images, videos on your group.

To get started, Download the app or login to it on Web. You can create Spaces on any topic with just one tap. Once created, you can invite your friends to space by inviting them with URL.

Google will be experimenting with Spaces this week at Google I/O 2016. They are creating spaces for each session on IO so that the developers can connect with each other and Googler easily. It’s just the initial version, more features will be added soon.

Spaces is rolling out to Android, iOS , desktop, and mobile web for all Gmail accounts.
