Google Maps team announced a massive update for Street View app which includes exploring the street view contents [360-degree imagery] and contribute your favourite place to street view in 360-degree.

Starting from September Google has many announcements day by day, which includes New Logo, Google Search Update, I’m feeling curious, etc., In addition to the list, Street View app for Android and iOS got a massive update. Google Maps Team announced this in the official blog. According to the Maps team, the new Street View app will replace the Photo Sphere Camera app for iPhones and the Street View from Google Maps app on Android phones.

Today we are introducing the new Street View app for Android and iOS, which allows you for the first time, to tour immersive 360-degree imagery and instantly contribute your own — right to Google Maps. Find a great hiking trail, check out restaurant and hotel interiors, and snap and share your own photo spheres (360-degree panoramas) to Google Maps for others to explore and enjoy. All in one place.

Already Google has the preloaded collection of 360-degree views of the great places around the world. You can view the collections of Street View from people who contributed to Google Maps.

If you find any of your favourite place which is not listed, you can add photo spheres right from this app. The in-built camera app will guide how to shoot. Once done you can publish the same to Google Maps.
