We have heard rumours that google is going to stop its nexus branding and the new smartphones from google will be under Pixel brand. Similarly, the nexus launcher leaked some time back was now renamed as Pixel launcher.
There is no additional features are changes spotted in the new launcher, other than the name. Also, we have spotted the icon and the app version has changed. It has the version number as 7.1-xxxx.
Note : The new launcher will overwrite and install itself over Nexus Launcher if it is installed. This proves that the app has been renamed.
