How To Make Copy/Move Window to Show the Graph details by Default in Windows 8/8.1

Whenever you start copying or moving any items in windows 8/8.1, a copy/move window will open and it shows the progress and estimated time to complete the operation. If you want too see the details/graph of the files moving/copying then you can click the “More Details” button at the bottom of the window. Now i have a tip to show the details/graph options by default whenever you start copy/move the files. It involves some Registry Editing, so before you do backup your registry and also try it on your own risk.

How To Steps:

1. Open Registry in Windows 8/8.1. To do so Press Windows Key + R and type regedit.

2. Now navigate to the path

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerOperationStatusManager

3. On the right side window double click on “EnthusiastMode” and it will open a popup window.

4. Now make the value of the field “Value Data” to 1 and select Base field as Hexadecimal and Click OK.

5. Now Restart your PC to make the registry changes effective.

Now whenever you copy/move anything the progress window will show the graph details by default.
