WhatsApp has officially started rolling out Share Live Location feature for Android and iPhone users. We have covered about this already here. You can share the live location with a person or in a group. You can also set time for the live sharing, the sharing will be stopped after that time. Now let’s see how to use this feature on WhatsApp.
How To Use Share Live Location Feature on WhatsApp:
Step 1: WhatsApp is rolling out this feature globally and it would take some time to reach your device. Once you have the update, open the chat of a person or a group you belongs to.
Step 2: Tap on the attach icon button on Android or Plus icon on iOS. Under Location in the attach button, there’s a new option called Share Live Location will be available. Tap on it.
Step 3: Now the Map will be open with time settings. Specify the time for sharing and also any comments if you want and tap on Send button. That’s it.
Step 4: Your location will be live shared with the person or in a group on a map. If more than one person shares their Live Location in the group, all locations will be visible on the same map.
The Share Live Location message will look like the below.
You can also stop sharing the live location before the specified time using the stop sharing option on the live sharing message.
