Google’s new digital payment app for India Tez is officially launched today. Tez means fast in Hindi. The app uses NPCI’s (National Payments Corporation of India) Unified Payments Interface (UPI) for money transfers. Tez works with almost 55 banks in India that supports UPI. With Tez, you can send money to friends, instantly receive payments directly to your bank account and pay the nearby cafe. The app is available for users in India on both Android and iOS stores.

Google’s Tez works with all major banks in India and with a majority of smartphones, so you can pay or get paid by almost anyone.
