Turn Your Android Display to GreyScale in Lollipop

Android Lollipop has many built-in features and one of them is “Color Space Simulation”. This option allows the users to turn their device display with their desired color combinations. The user can choose from four different color options.

There are various modes for the simulation available :

  • Monochromacy (GreyScale)
  • Deuteranomoly(red-green)
  • Protanomoly(red-green)
  • Tritanomoly(blue-yellow)

Color Space Simulation in Lollipop

Lets see how to use this functionality in Lollipop devices:

1. Go To “Settings”
2. Navigate to “Developer Options”
If the developer option is not enabled on your device, enable it. Check how to enable developer option on your Android Lollipop device
3. Choose “Simulate Color Space” and select your desired color combination.
4. You can disable it anytime, by choosing the “Disabled”
